Catching up

okay so I know I'm horrible about blogging, but with the semester coming to an end I hope to update a little bit more.

I have about a week left of the semester left and I can't wait to have a little break! 18 credits has been rough but not as bad as I imagined! Next semester will be another story...I'm taking Chem 105 and I'm wayyy nervous! This is my class schedule for Fall...
Jake is all registered for fall classes as well so we both will be busy little bees with work and school. I can't wait till I can graduate! Hopefully just one more year with the PA pre-reqs:)

We went to Utah back in June for my cousins high school graduation and his mission call. Elder Austin King has been called to serve in the Las Vegas, Nevada West Mission. He reports to the MTC in Provo on September 11th. Words can't explain how proud I am of him. He has been through so much in his life and has always been such a smart and great kid! He will be a wonderful missionary and I will miss him like crazy! Our sweet great grandma was able to come over to see Austin open his call and it was so special to have most of our family and his friends there to share the experience with.

I also threw Austin a graduation party! Everyone deserves a party:) I set up a picture/gift table and made a bunch of little graduation cap's out of resses candy, and a candy poem thing:) My mom got almost all of the food and the cake and we both got decorations to put up around the house. I was told I went a little overboard but its ok:)

For Mothers day my mom and robert were able to come up to Idaho for the weekend and hang out with us. It was so nice to have them visit and that weekend my brother-in-law was reporting in church. Travis got home from serving in Uganda, Africa two months ago and we've loved having him home! We have gotten to spend a lot of time with him and I'm so lucky to have such an awesome brother. I made him a sweet cake for his homecoming, and I also made cupcake bouquets for both of my mothers:)

Travis also brought us back some awesome gifts from Uganda. My favorite is a hand carved wooden palque with our names on it. We also got a scripture case made out of zebra hide, a hand carved nativity set and authentic African jewelry made out of paper! We also sold this beautiful jewelry and purses at the booth we had set up on the 4th of July! Travis gave me a purse for helping him:) I love it!

Independence day in Menan is probably one of my favorite holidays. This year was my second year in Menan and I started it off by running the 5k race with some friends from work and my dog, ruger. He was a little tired that morning! He's the best running buddy:) We watched my brother play some softball, worked at our jewelry booth, watched the parade, ate some fatty food, went to a fun BBQ with friends and ended by watching the fireworks together in our front lawn. I had the best day with my husband!! We got to hang out all day which is rare now, and we got a little sun! Here are a few pictures from our 4th of July...

The Saturday after the 4th of July i ran the color in motion 5k run in Rexburg with my best friend Courtney and all my other work friends. We had a blast!! They are such fun friends and I'm so glad they are in my life. After the run we went to the lake for a few hours and then all of us went to buffalo wild wings for yummy wings and to watch the UFC fights.

Last but not least is Jakes new bike. He got a 2008 kawasaki 450. He loves that thing! He got it to ride with his brother and his friends. i'm a little nervous but he promised he would be safe. Also I am going blind which is way sad:( I think I need glasses and I'm constantly stealing Jake's glasses to read anything now.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday with your loved ones! We are off to Andy Furrows homecoming. Can't wait to hear him speak and spend time with my second family that I love and adore:)
